NEW YORK — Rob Goldstone, the English publicist and music manager, admitted that when he wrote Donald Trump Jr. to set up the infamous meeting with a Russian attorney at Trump Tower in June 2016 he used deliberately hyperbolic language to ensure that the meeting took place.
The eighth and last person in the meeting between a Russian lawyer and Donald Trump Jr. last June has been identified as a U.S. citizen and employee of a Russian real-estate company, according to a report.
Absent any further information, there is still no evidence of “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia, three days into the Donald Trump, Jr. email story.
The New York Times reported Tuesday, citing an anonymous source, that President Donald Trump’s legal team has turned against his son-in-law and Senior Advisor Jared Kushner.
Donald Trump, Jr. released the chain of emails Tuesday morning that was apparently referred to in reports by the New York Times in which a publicist offered to set up a meeting between Trump, Jr. and a Russian lawyer who offered to provide damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Curiously, the Times does not provide the Russia email. Nor has it actually seen the email. Its source: “three people with knowledge of the email.”
