The latest research expedition to the Titanic has unveiled notable changes and discoveries from the ship’s wreckage.

A billionaire from Ohio plans to take a $20 million sub to visit the ill-fated Titanic as a means to prove that the industry is now safe following the tragic OceanGate implosion last year.

Listeners can now hear the banging noises that echoed through the Atlantic Ocean after contact with OceanGate’s Titan submersible went dark.

Further “presumed human remains,” along with debris from the OceanGate Titan sub, have been recovered from the ocean floor, the Coast Guard said Tuesday.

Oscar-winning Titanic filmmaker James Cameron is denying media speculation that he is considering making a movie about the OceanGate submersible disaster that killed five people in June.

Yacht broker Steve Reoch has been trying to sell a submersible belonging to OceanGate for five years, and he wants the vessel off his hands. 

OceanGate has said it is suspending all “exploration and commercial operations” following the Titan submersible implosion that resulted in the death of the company’s CEO and four others attempting to visit the wreck of the Titanic.

The Discovery Plus show “Expedition Unknown” previously canceled an OceanGate trip over the Titan submersible’s performance and “safety concerns.”

A friend of one of the now-deceased Titan passengers reportedly dropped out of the voyage after having doubts regarding the “quality of the technology.”

Reports have raised questions about the safety standards that were maintained on the OceanGate submersible before its Titanic expedition. 

OceanGate, the maritime exploration company behind the submersible Titan, which went missing with five people aboard during a trip to the wreckage of the Titanic, fired its director of marine operations after he demanded safety tests of the vehicle before it took passengers to the bottom of the Ocean. The company is also facing questions about other safety decisions, like the submersible lacking a safety beacon.
