Mexican Media Reports Yet Another Mass Grave, Government Denies It

Mexican news outlets quoting whistle blowers in the Mexican State of Guerrero have reported the discovery of 19 bodies in a mass grave and another with 22 bodies. The Governor’s office in Guerrero has denied the discovery and issued a statement claiming that the information was false and that federal officials have not notified him of their searches.

An American father who traveled to Mexico for vacation almost three years ago had his two sons kidnapped and was falsely imprisoned. Since then he has been fighting in an effort to get them back. After years of dealing with Mexico’s corrupt judicial system in the lower courts, the case is headed to Mexico’s Supreme Court where, if international laws are upheld, the children should be returned to the United States.

Even Taiwan Laughs at Mexico Over El Chapo’s Escape

Since the brazen prison escape by famed drug lord El Chapo, the Mexican government has been dealing with an overwhelming amount of criticism that has turned the country’s image into a big joke. The latest addition to the ridicule comes from Next Media Animation, a Taiwan-based studio that has turned the escape of Joaquin Guzman Loera into a short animated parody that highlights Mexico’s corruption by portraying the drug lord as a tiny, cocaine-snorting, taco-eating, VIP guest pampered by the guards and enjoying inside help in escaping the prison.

The world’s most famous drug lord has managed to escape from a maximum security prison in Mexico for a second time. Mexico’s National Security Commission confirmed that on Saturday night Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera had escaped the maximum security prison known as Altiplano.

More Questions Than Answers Remain in Case of 43 Kidnapped Mexican Students

Almost nine months have passed since a group of 43 education students form the rural Mexican town of Aytozinapa were shot at and kidnapped by local police, Mexican drug cartels, and possibly the Mexican federal government. As time has passed since the fateful events of September 26, 2014, parents of those missing students have gotten more questions than answers, and developed a deeper mistrust of the Mexican government.
