In schools across America on March 14, students walked out of classrooms in a supposed show of solidarity with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivors in their efforts to demand “change” to the nations gun laws.
The “March for Our Lives” in D.C. planned by students from the Florida High School where 17 people died after a mentally ill former student opened fire on campus will have to pick another venue because the National Mall is already booked.
Deena Katz, co-executive director of the Women’s March LA Foundation, filed an application for a permit with the National Park Service for a March 24 rally called March for Our Lives, which is described as a student-led protest, reports the Washington Times.
It’s been one week since a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, shot and killed 17 people. Over those seven days, students from the school have launched a website that is selling merchandise and planning marches nationwide, marchforourlives.com.
