Video: Trevor Noah Trashes American Law Enforcement but Defended Use of Police Force in South Africa’s Marikana Massacre

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah used his nightly platform Wednesday to trash U.S. law enforcement, smearing American police officers as fruit from a “rotten tree.”  Now, one of Noah’s old stand-up comedy acts has resurfaced in which he defends the use of deadly police force in the Marikana Massacre in South Africa.

GOP Rep. Fleischmann: Nashville Police Officers ‘Ought to Be Praised and Lauded’ for Efforts to Save Lives Before Explosion

On Sunday, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) commended six Tennessee law enforcement officials for their response to the Nashville explosion on Christmas Day. Officer Brenna Hosey, Officer James Luellen, Officer Michael Sipos, Officer Amanda Topping, Officer James Wells and Sergeant Timothy Miller were all recognized for evacuating people and saving lives before the explosion went off.

Court Docs Reveal that Google Shares Data on Keyword Searches with Police

Recently released court documents reveal that Google is sharing data on search keywords with police departments. According to the documents, police departments are able to obtain data from Google on every individual who has searched for a specific keyword. If the allegations are true, police departments are using IP addresses provided by Google to connect users to specific crimes. However, privacy experts believe the practice violates the Fourth Amendment.
