In remarks Tuesday, she once again rejected the claims against her, instead alleging that her impeachment is fueled by “a great amount of prejudice against women.”

Should Cuba ban these individuals from docking, Carnival has promised to delay the program’s maiden voyage. This represents a change in policy following a civil rights lawsuit filed against the corporation.

Brazil: Congressional Committee Votes to Impeach President

Brazil’s congressional impeachment committee has voted to send a vote to impeach President Dilma Rousseff to the House of Representatives’ floor, placing her one step closer to being ousted. The leftist Rousseff’s Workers’ Party is planning rallies in her favor, with police anticipating the nation’s capital will attract thousands of protests for and against the president.

Cuba Arrested Nearly 500 Political Dissidents During Obama Visit

“These sorts of visits bring a lot of collateral damage,” Cuban pro-democracy activist Marta Beatriz Roque lamented in anticipation of President Barack Obama’s trip to the island. The Havana Tribune, a state-controlled Cuban newspaper, has added insult to injury following Fidel Castro’s scathing criticism of President Barack Obama upon his departure from the island.
