Laredo Sector Agents Apprehend More Bangladeshi, Brazilian Migrants near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested eight more Bangladeshi nationals after they illegally crossed the border into Texas. This brings the total number of Bangladeshi nationals arrested this fiscal year in the Laredo Sector alone to 322. Agents in this sector also arrested five Brazilian nationals following a vehicle pursuit and bailout.

Border Patrol Agents Disrupt Human Smuggling Stash Houses in Texas

Border Patrol agents along the Rio Grande River border with Mexico continue to disrupt human smuggling operations by shutting down stash houses. The smugglers frequently pack migrants into the houses with inadequate plumbing and kitchen facilities. Border Patrol officials previously called these “deplorable” conditions.

Laredo Border Patrol Agents Rescue Lost Migrant

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents responded to a 911 call from an illegal immigrant who became lost on a ranch after illegally crossing the border from Mexico. After an extensive search including ground-based agents and a helicopter aircrew, the agents found the subject and completed the rescue operation.

Agents Sound Alarm on Syrians Caught Sneaking Across Texas Border

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector are sounding the alarm after they recently apprehended two Syrian nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico into South Texas. The agents say the arrest of the Syrians confirms there is a human smuggling pipeline from countries with connections to terrorism into the U.S.
