White House On Kim Davis: No Public Official Above The Rule Of Law

The White House says no public official is above the rule of law, after Kentucky County Court Clerk Kim Davis was ordered to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. It didn’t mention Obama’s history of questionable legal decisions, which critics argue are a direct affront to the Constitution. Earlier this year, Sen. Ted Cruz issued a list of 76 “lawless” actions by the administration that he argued was an abuse of executive power.

White House Reacts To Tom Brady ‘Deflategate’ Ruling

“My guess is that that the happiest people today are either Patriot’s fans or fantasy football owners who had the wisdom to get a steal by drafting Tom Brady late in the draft,” said White House spokesman Josh Earnest, adding that it was probably a smart move by fantasy football team owners to select the quarterback in their draft.

White House Blocks Visitor Records For Obama’s Prince Concert

Each month, the Obama administration prides itself for making public the White House visitor logs. Aboard Air Force One yesterday, reporters questioned White House press secretary Josh Earnest why the guest list for the Prince concert was kept secret. “At this point, that’s not something that I anticipate that we’ll do,” Earnest replied, defending the Obama administration’s widely mocked self-description as “most transparent administration in history.”

The White House’s False Talking Points on Iran Deal

In the weeks before the Iran deal, a bipartisan group of policy experts–including several former Obama administration officials–issued an open letter stating that the negotiations “may fall short of meeting the administration’s own standard of a “good” agreement.” They laid out five criteria for a deal to meet, and White House spokesman Josh Earnest promised the deal would meet them. After the deal was done, the White House issued talking points along those lines, which Democrats are citing widely. Unfortunately, these talking points are false.

Josh Earnest Lied: Iran Deal Fails 5-Point Test by Former Obama Advisers

Late last month, several Middle East policy experts–including prominent former Obama administration officials–warned that negotiations with Iran were heading in the wrong direction. “The agreement will not prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapons capability,” they said, and warned that the terms would “fall short of meeting the administration’s own standard of a ‘good’ agreement.” They suggested that any Iran deal would have to cover five crucial elements–each of which, they suggested, were lacking in the emerging terms of the agreement.
