Nashville, TN–Members of the Jewish fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi at Vanderbilt University became the latest target of campus anti-Semitism–discovering swastika’s spray-painted in the elevator of their fraternity house, and another swastika painted on a basement door, according to an e-mail from Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Wente.
Vanderbilt University officials have launched a hate crime investigation after three swastikas were found spray-painted inside a Jewish fraternity house.
A second incidence of anti-Jewish vandalism has surfaced at UC Davis. A newly released report indicates that between January 22 and 23, someone wrote “grout out the Jews” on the tile grout in a stall in the men’s bathroom at the school’s Hillel House.
While detectives investigate spray-painted swastikas on a University of California, Davis off-campus Jewish fraternity house as a hate crime, a Muslim civil liberties group has come out in solidarity with the Jewish community.
