Protesters Disrupt Mayor Ed Lee’s Inauguration

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee’s second inauguration Friday was met with shouts and boos from protesters criticizing Lee for the creeping gentrification in his city and calling for Police Chief Greg Suhr to step down over growing tensions between the police department and the black community.

Once again, the Iran deal confirmed by diplomats in Lausanne, Switzerland has failed to materialize. And the only thing more pathetic than the repeated collapse of the talks is the spectacle of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry staying on, even after diplomats from China, Russia, France and Germany have packed their bags and gone home. He is simply unwilling to admit failure. But the Iranian regime is happy to entertain his illusions, and so their delegation has stayed behind, too.

Texas Swears-In New Governor with BBQ and Ball

AUSTIN, Texas – For the first time since the first year of this century, Texas will have a new Governor. It has been over fourteen years since Governor Rick Perry First took the oath of office filling the vacancy created after Governor George W. Bush resigned the office to become the 43rd President of the United States. On Tuesday, Greg Abbott will take over the reins of the Lone Star State from Perry and begin a new era of leadership.
