If newly acquired Yu Darvish matches Friday’s seven scoreless-inning, 10-strikeout performance in the playoffs and his Dodger teammate Clayton Kershaw is 100%, and the Astros’ line-up continues to hit anything like it did Friday when they scored 16 runs with all three starting All-Stars on the bench, it could be a great World Series clash. But look out for the Washington Nationals based on the OPS and ERA of their top 11 players.

AL’s Wild Wild-Card Race Sees a Half Dozen Teams Fighting for Last Playoff Spot

The Houston Astros, the only team with three of the top 11 players in MLB, appeared to get knocked off the “wild card” island with the worst start to a game in the history of baseball — only to recover to pound the Baltimore Orioles 31-8 the rest of the weekend to pull within 4 ½ games of the Orioles, Mariners, Royals, Tigers and Yankees for the last playoff spot.

One of Houston Astros ‘Killer Bs’ Inducted Into Hall of Fame

This weekend the Houston Astros’ great, Craig Biggio, 5 foot 11, 185 pounds, number 44, was inducted into the 2015 Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. He was elected with 82.7% of voters in his third run. Biggio was one of the famous “Killer Bs” of the Houston Astros.
