Heritage Action: Arizona Election Integrity Bill ‘Will Go into Effect Immediately After Passage, Not in 2026’

Heritage Action said on Wednesday an Arizona election integrity bill that will “clean up the state’s early voting list and remove registrations that have been inactive in two consecutive election cycles,” will go into effect immediately, and not in 2026, as State Sen. Kelly Townsend (R-16) said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Tuesday.

Washington Post Gives Biden Four Pinocchios for False GA Voting Law Narrative: ‘Election Day Hours Were Not Changed’

President Joe Biden advanced a false narrative about Georgia’s new election integrity law, claiming that it reduces voting hours, thereby compromising the ability of working-class Americans to go out and vote. This is a clear falsehood, as the law does not change Election Day hours and actually expands access for early voting, as the establishment media outlet, the Washington Post, pointed out in a fact-check, giving the commander-in-chief Four Pinocchios.

House Republican Leaders Cancel Vote To Fund Susan G. Komen – Major Donor to Planned Parenthood

The cancellation of the vote comes in the wake of an investigative video released Tuesday morning by pro-life group Center for Medical Progress which depicted Planned Parenthood’s chief medical officer speaking about how to abort a baby intact in order to be able to harvest its body parts for sale. Funding to the breast cancer group would likely have benefited Planned Parenthood, leading Heritage Action to object to a vote on it.

House Votes To Reauthorize No Child Left Behind

Many in the GOP reportedly refrained from voting until the last minute and some changed their votes under pressure from Republican leadership. Only one conservative amendment, introduced by Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ) was adopted, by a vote of 251-178, that would allow parents to opt their children out of standardized testing.

Politico: Senate No Child Left Behind Amendments ‘Hashed Out Behind Closed Doors By Democrats’ Over Civil Rights Issue

It’s worth noting that in the half-century since the ESEA was passed as part of Johnson’s “War on Poverty,” billions of dollars have been spent – by both Democrat and Republican administrations – on education and so-called “helpful” programs for “disadvantaged” children, and yet Democrats are still fighting for more federal control and federal programs and subsidies in order to “close the achievement gap.”

Heritage Action Will Score Fast-Track Vote

The conservative group is warning that it will be scoring the upcoming vote on providing President Obama fast-track authority to negotiate trade deals. “Absent ironclad public commitments from Boehner and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) that the Export-Import Bank will not be reauthorized, Heritage Action will key vote against H.R. 1314,” the group warned Wednesday.
