Federal Judge Orders Biden Admin to Stop Cutting Texas Border Barriers

A federal judge in the Western District of Texas issued a Temporary Restraining Order against the Biden administration prohibiting the “disassembling, degrading, tampering with” border barriers put in place by the State of Texas. The move comes after multiple reports of Border Patrol agents cutting the concertina wire barriers put in place by order of the governor of Texas.

Texas Governor Orders Barrier Along Border with New Mexico/Mexico

Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered the construction of additional barriers along the state’s border with New Mexico and Mexico. Border walls built in El Paso force migrants to enter the U.S. into New Mexico and then move across the Rio Grande into Texas, the governor says.

Officials in the city and county of Denver, Colorado, asked Texas border towns to distribute flyers aimed at discouraging migrants from traveling to the Mile High Sanctuary City after crossing the border from Mexico. Denver officials asked the border communities to distribute flyers saying the city is out of resources to take care of migrants and that low-cost housing is unavailable.

ERIC ADAMS: Texas Governor ‘Primed the Pump’ for City’s Worsening Migrant Crisis

New York City Mayor Eric Adams continues to blame migrant arrivals on Texas Governor Greg Abbott, saying, “Governor Abbott primed the pump, and that pump is flowing freely from all over the globe. The mayor’s remarks came during a media event announcing a pending visit to Mexico, Ecuador, and Colombia later this week. The mayor says he wants to see the situation firsthand and urge migrants not to come to the city.

Four non-border-state governors joined Texas Governor Greg Abbott for a tour of one of the busiest border crossing regions in the country. The governors traveled to the Rio Grande to see first-hand the results of their states’ contributions to the Texas border security mission.

Texas Democrat Rep. Decries Abbott’s Use of ‘Razor Wire’ at Border — Same Used by Biden’s Ports of Entry

U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro (D-TX) told CNN Newsroom’s Jim Acosta he believes Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s use of razor wire and a floating border buoy system is “barbaric and inhumane.” Castro did not comment on the Biden administration’s use of the same wire to repel asylum seekers at ports of entry along the southwest border. At the ports, the wire is deployed atop gates and along temporary barriers used to close the ports when migrants rush the port without an appointment.

Governor Demands Biden Stop Risking Migrant Lives at Texas Border

Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded the Department of Justice’s threat to sue the state over the recent deployment of a floating border barrier, saying, “Texas will see you in court, Mr. President.” The response came in a letter to President Joe Biden asking that he join with Texas to stop migrants from “wagering their lives in the waters of the Rio Grande.”

WATCH: Texas Deploys Multi-Layer Border Strategy to Deter, Turnback Migrants at Border

Under Operation Lone Star, the Texas Department of Public Safety and National Guard Units deployed a multi-layer strategy to deter and turn back migrants attempting to cross the border from Mexico. That strategy includes the construction of physical barriers like border walls, fencing., razor wire, and rail containers, in addition to deploying tactical response units and marine operators.

Migrant Groups Continue Crossing Texas Border Despite Intense Heat

Several groups of migrants crossed the Rio Grande, immediately surrendering to authorities. The largest of the groups, nearly 50 in total, surrendered to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers around midday on Sunday as Breitbart Texas looked on. Temperatures at the time hovered at 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
