That strategy includes the construction of physical barriers like border walls, fencing., razor wire, and rail containers, in addition to deploying tactical response units and marine operators.
Construction crews began deployment of the historic floating border barrier near Eagle Pass, Texas, on Monday. The project is expected to provide a strong deterrent to illegal border crossings in high-traffic areas along the Rio Grande.
Several groups of migrants crossed the Rio Grande, immediately surrendering to authorities. The largest of the groups, nearly 50 in total, surrendered to Texas Department of Public Safety troopers around midday on Sunday as Breitbart Texas looked on. Temperatures at the time hovered at 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
