Testimony: John McCain Associate Initiated Contact with Ex-Spy Steele to Obtain Trump Dossier

TEL AVIV — In testimony released publically earlier this week, the founder of the controversial opposition research firm Fusion GPS revealed that an associate of Sen. John McCain first reached out to the former British spy who compiled the infamous, largely discredited 35-page dossier on President Donald Trump in order to obtain more information so that McCain can get the anti-Trump material to the FBI’s leadership.

Testimony Reveals Fusion GPS Tried to Kill FBI Clinton Investigation

Glenn Simpson and the intelligence firm he founded, Fusion GPS, have presented themselves as disinterested researchers when it comes to their role in the Trump dossier and the 2016 election. But Simpson’s recently released testimony shows that at the same time he was encouraging the FBI to investigate Trump, he was actively trying to steer the FBI away from further investigation of the Clintons.

Judge Denies Fusion GPS Request to Cancel Subpoena for Bank Records

A federal judge denied a request by Fusion GPS, the Democrat consultant company at the heart of the faked “Trump dossier” controversy, to quash a subpoena for its bank records forcing the firm to hand over the records central to the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election.
