‘Freedom University’ Offers Courses, Scholarship Assistance to Illegals In Georgia

The state of Georgia does not offer in-state tuition rates for illegal immigrants and largely prevents them from gaining admission to the state’s best public universities, but one organization is touting it’s work-around effort.

The organization, “Freedom University” Georgia, calls itself a “modern-day freedom school” that offers “college level classes,” college application assistance, and scholarship help for illegal immigrants in Georgia.

Top Silicon Valley Investor: Industries with Unions Are Ripe for Disruption

A top investor in the Valley, Paul Graham, lit up Twitter, tweeting, “Any industry that still has unions has potential energy that could be released by startups. Chicago Public Schools Admits to Inflating Graduation Rates for Four Years

Administrators of the Chicago Public Schools were forced to lower the last four years’ graduation rates after admitting they inflated the passing rates and fudged the number of dropouts. The schools’ Inspector General had raised the alarm over the falsified stats early this year, but the district took no action until October. That was five months after Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel won re-election, in part, because he used the false statistics as a campaign issue.
