Whistleblower: Tesla Worker Trafficked ‘Significant Quantities’ of Cartel Drugs

A former Tesla employee has filed a formal whistleblower complaint with the SEC alleging that Tesla failed to disclose that authorities had discovered an alleged drug trafficking scheme involving an employee at the firm’s “Gigafactory” plant in Nevada. Among the other claims in the complaint, the whistleblower also describes the theft of more than $37 million worth of copper from Elon Musk’s Nevada facility.

Mexican Judge Releases 27 Cartel Members Caught in Mexico City Raid

A federal judge in Mexico City ordered the release of 27 out of a group of 31 cartel members arrested by authorities earlier this week. The arrests resulted from a large-scale raid that led to the discovery of narco-labs, bunkers filled with drugs, a rocket launcher, grenades, and several weapons. In that raid, authorities also discovered various altars with human skulls and other offerings used in witchcraft rituals.

Enough Fentanyl to Kill 14 Million Seized in Mulit-State Investigation

Federal authorities seized enough fentanyl to kill more than 14 million people following an investigation that covered Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia. The busts resulted in the arrests of 35 people and the seizure of distribution quantities of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and cocaine base. Investigators also found weapons and cash during a three-day operation.
