WASHINGTON (AP) — The Houston Astros fired assistant general manager Brandon Taubman on Thursday for directing inappropriate comments at female reporters during a clubhouse celebration, announcing the decision in the middle of the World Series and putting a renewed spotlight on domestic violence in baseball.

Report: Chiefs’ Hill, Fiancee Discuss Domestic Incident

OLATHE, Kan. – (AP) — A television station aired audio Thursday it says shows Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill telling his fiancee about punching and using a belt to discipline their son one day after prosecutors reluctantly declined to file charges in a domestic incident.

Migrant Wanted for Kidnapping, Assault, Domestic Violence Captured

South Carolina police now have an illegal immigrant in custody who reportedly fled to Florida to avoid prosecution on charges relating to domestic violence, assault, child neglect, and kidnapping. Police returned the man to South Carolina to face charges after police in Kissimmee, Florida arrested him in December.

Gunman Shoots Three Texas Cops — Kills Self During Standoff, Says Sheriff

HOUSTON, Texas — A Harris County Sheriff’s Office sergeant and two law enforcement officers from the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) were reportedly shot as they attempted to serve a warrant in the northeastern part of the county. Another deputy sustained an injury from a motorcycle accident while responding. The injuries are reported to not be life-threatening.
