Sen. Marco Rubio’s Military Restoration

Sen. Marco Rubio is trying to reverse the cuts from President Barack Obama’s sequestration plan, which the president fled from in a panic after it failed to intimidate Republicans, and once automatic cuts to domestic spending went into effect as well.

Report: One-Third of Veterans on VA Wait List Already Dead

It shows that more than 238,000 veterans out of roughly 847,000 have died after applying for health care through the VA – but never receiving it. The Washington Times reported that VA spokeswoman Walinda West stated that there isn’t a way of removing the names of dead applicants off the list.

Memorial Day: Strength of Arms, Strength of Ideals

How about a few of you high-rolling elected officials try making do with a bit less luxury, and personally donate some of the obscene profits you’ve skimmed off hard-working taxpayers through endless decades of “service” to the VA? Obama Disgraces the Dead with False Claims of Success

There is no commitment to America’s fighting men and women that President Barack Obama has not broken. When he ran for office in 2008, he promised to leave a residual force in Iraq to secure that country against external meddling and internal collapse. When he took office, President George W. Bush handed over a relatively stable and secure Iraq, thanks to the “surge” Obama opposed, and thanks to the sacrifices made by thousands of Americans, killed and wounded in battle.

Scandal-Plagued VA Hospital Still Making Vets Wait Months in L.A.

Despite claims made to Congress that the Los Angeles Veterans Affairs (VA) facility makes patients wait only four days for an appointment, internal documents from the facility show that 12,700 appointments wound up taking over 90 days before they actually occurred. Some new patients also had to wait months: data from January 15 showed over 1,600 new patients waited between 60 to 90 days.

VA Secretary Apologizes For False Claim Of Serving In Special Forces

Given both the crisis still in progress at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the controversy over NBC News’ Brian Williams getting in trouble for a phony story of taking fire in Iraq, this was not a good moment for a combo scandal in which the new VA Secretary, Robert McDonald, got caught making a false claim of serving with U.S. Special Forces.

Obama Touts VA Reform in State of the Union, but He Has Nothing to Brag About

“As a new generation of veterans comes home, we owe them every opportunity to live the American Dream they helped defend,” said President Obama in his 2015 State of the Union address on Tuesday night. He praised a national campaign organized by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden for helping “nearly 700,000 veterans and military spouses get new jobs,” asserting that “already, we’ve made strides” to improve life for veterans in America.
