Birx said that the numbers were shocking but much lower than the earlier models showing two million deaths.

On Sunday, Trump said that Americans should continue social distancing until April 30th in an effort to “stop the spread.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci said he and Dr. Deborah Birx argued strongly for Trump to extend social distancing guidelines beyond 15 days.
