DREAMer Arrested in Sexual Predator Sting Near Texas Border

A Honduran man who had entered the country illegally but had been allowed to stay under Obama’s DREAM Act is now facing federal charges after he allegedly tried to lure a 14-year-old into a hotel room for sex. The girl turned out to be a federal agent. “Hernandez-Rodas is a Honduran National who resided in Laredo legally under the deferred action for childhood arrivals (Dream Act),” according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office obtained from Breitbart Texas .

Rubio Team: Legislative Amnesty for DACA Recipients Before Border Secured

The chief spokesman for the presidential campaign of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said in an on-record interview with Breitbart News that the senator, if elected president, would not require a secured border before he gives legislative and permanent amnesty to recipients of President Barack Obama’s first executive amnesty, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The Texas Senate takes up the issue of repealing in-state tuition benefits for the children of illegal immigrants living in the Lone Star State. DREAMers and their supporters were on the Texas Capitol steps early this morning in preparation for lobbying legislators on S.B. 1819. They are in Austin to speak to the Texas Senate’s Sub-Committee on Border Security. The sub-committee is part of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations. The bill would remove in-state tuition eligibility for certain children who came to America illegally.

Cruz Highlights Unfairness of Obama’s Amnesty Towards Legal Immigrants

In Monday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) questioned U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officials about whether the agency was taking funds from fees paid by legal immigrants and diverting them to pay for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty program. Cruz also asked about how USCIS officials were complying with the recent temporary injunction issued by a federal district court judge in Texas, which was supposed to block the Obama administration from implementing the program.

What About The American Worker?

The biggest casualty of the President’s executive amnesty, aside from the Constitution, has been the American worker. President Obama is handing out millions of work permits to illegal aliens at a time when many Americans are struggling to find a job. It is difficult to grasp why President Obama seems more interested in lending a helping hand to illegal aliens than American workers. Sadly, the issuance of work permits is often an overlooked part of the President’s amnesty.
