Texas Banker: ‘Guns Welcome Sign — Best Thing I Ever Did’

Almost four and a half years ago, a small bank in a small town northwest of Houston posted a “Guns Welcome” sign on their front door. Chappell Hill Bank had been robbed five times over the years, every time, according to Bank President Edward Smith “by Yankees”. In 2010, Smith ordered the sign for the door, and things have been “different” since then.

NRA Drew 78,695 Supporters to Nashville, Moms Demand Drew 150

On April 13, the NRA reported that 78,695 gun rights supporters attended the annual convention–held in Nashville this year–which is nearly 9,000 more attendees than the NRA expected.

On Apirl 11, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America held a rally in Nashville to oppose the NRA’s presence, and it was attended by roughly 150, counting children and pets.

HuffPo: Dig In and Fight, Rather Than Follow Laws Protecting Gun Rights

On January 11, Breitbart News reported on a Pennsylvania preemption law that recognizes gun owners’ rights to “seek damages” from municipalities if those municipalities have ordinances regulating the “ownership, possession, transfer, or transportation of guns and ammunition” that are in conflict with state laws on the same.

9th Circuit Reverses Itself: California AG Can Argue to Limit Concealed Carry

After ruling against California’s “good cause” requirement for concealed carry in February 2014, then refusing California Attorney General Kamala Harris’ request to challenge the ruling in November–thereby implying that the eased concealed carry restrictions would stand–the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has reversed itself and announced Thursday it will hear an appeal on its original decision and will allow Harris’ office to be part of that appeal.
