An anonymous bureaucrat — marketed as a “whistleblower” by news media outlets such as CNN — who filed a complaint alleging misconduct on the part of President Donald Trump’s dealings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky — falsely claimed to have “firsthand information,” said Fred Fleitz, president and CEO of the Center for Security Policy.

The partisan federal employee who issued a complaint regarding President Donald Trump’s July phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky is a CIA officer who was previously “detailed to work at the White House,” according to the New York Times.

Report: Russia Penetrated FBI Communications Throughout the Obama Years

A report published by Yahoo News on Monday described a “brazen Russian counterintelligence operation that stretched from the Bay Area to the heart of the nation’s capital” during the presidency of Barack Obama. The operation penetrated FBI communications to a “stunning” degree, according to officials quoted in the story, but was misunderstood and downplayed by the intelligence community and the Obama administration, which was ostentatiously attempting to “reset” relations with Russia when the operation began.
