We are witnessing an extraordinary collapse of the rule of law in our immigration system as hundreds of thousands of migrants exploit our generous asylum system by making bogus claims of asylum after entering the United States illegally.

Members of the Central American migrant caravan began scaling border fences and walls after becoming frustrated with their attempts to apply for asylum in the U.S. Federal agents responded quickly and took the migrants into custody.

The University of California Berkeley student government voted to financially fund the migrant caravan in a resolution passed by the student senate on Wednesday night.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 200 Central American migrants in a single day after they illegally crossed the border from Mexico. The three groups of migrants consisted of large groups of family units and unaccompanied minors.
