27 ‘Special Interest Aliens’ Arrested in Large Migrant Group at Texas Border

Texas Highway Patrol troopers interdicted a large group of migrants shortly after they waded across the shallow Rio Grande north of Eagle Pass on Monday. The large group was one of two that the agency interdicted that day. According to a spokesperson for the Texas Highway Patrol, 27 migrants within the group were “Special Interest Aliens,” citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, and India.

Texas DPS Arrests Pakistani Migrant at Border Crossing

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a Pakistani migrant who illegally crossed the border near Eagle Pass, Texas, this week. The single adult male is one of several Special Interest Aliens detained this week in Texas under Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. Other Special Interest Aliens were also arrested in the past two weeks, including one with possible terrorist ties.

Migrant Punches, Bites Border Patrol Agent’s Face in New Mexico

A Border Patrol agent became the victim of a frightening assault near Sunland Park, New Mexico, as he attempted to apprehend a migrant for crossing the border alongside several others. The migrant punched and bit the Border Patrol agent as he was being led to a transport vehicle on Thursday.
