Hindu Law Student Leaves UCLA After Anti-Israel Harassment

University of California Los Angeles law student Milan Chatterjee, the former president of the school’s Graduate Student Association (GSA), revealed that he is leaving for New York University because of discrimination, bullying and harassment by anti-Israel students at the publicly-funded California school.

California Legislature Passes Anti-BDS Law

California’s State Assembly has voted nearly unanimously, save one vote in both the State Assembly and Senate, to send the Golden State’s first-ever anti-“boycott, divestment and sanctions “(BDS) bill to Gov. Jerry Brown, who will need to decide whether to sign or veto it by September’s end.

30,000 Parade Through Manhattan in Support of Israel Despite Rain

Despite a persistent downpour of rain some 30,000 people marched through New York on Sunday in the annual Celebrate Israel Parade. Hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, the parade, which featured floats with dancers, bands, and performers, made its way through Manhattan from 52nd Street to 74th Street.

Republican, Democrat Spar over Ownership of Anti-BDS Bill

A first-of-its-kind bill opposing boycotts of Israel, introduced by Assemblyman Travis Allen (R-Huntington Beach), has been held up in California’s Democratic-controlled state legislature for nearly three months. Now, the state’s Jewish Caucus has introduced a highly similar bill by Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica).
