J.J. Abrams — the Hollywood director, mega-producer, and head of Bad Robot — is among a group of more than 200 corporate CEOs demanding the U.S. Senate pass “gun safety legislation,” a vague term they didn’t define and have apparently left open to interpretation.
Major Hollywood studios including WarnerMedia and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot are promoting a gun control initiative funded by billionaire Michael Bloomberg. The “Wear Orange” push comes from the Bloomberg-backed Everytown for Gun Safety, which has pressured President Joe Biden to enact gun control via executive order.
Bad Robot, the Hollywood studio headed by J.J. Abrams and behind the hit series “Lost” and HBO’s “Westworld,” as well as the “Mission: Impossible” movies, has issued an internal employee guide to “dismantling white supremacy at work” in which it encourages employees to create an “anti-racist” work environment.
