Texas Man Gets 6 Years for Attempting to Bomb Confederate Statue

A federal judge in Houston sentenced a local man to spend more than six years in prison after he attempted to blow up a statue honoring a Civil War Confederate Army lieutenant. The man pleaded guilty to federal charges of attempting to damage property receiving financial assistance.

Chicago Area ATF Agents Ambushed During Drug Buy Operation

Alleged drug dealers shot an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) on Thursday in what was described as an ambush during a drug buy operation conducted in the Chicago area. The gunmen shot the agent twice. Agents returned fire, killing one.
