JAFFA, Israel – The assassination of Islamic State Spokesperson Abu Mohammed Aladnani has sparked an online war between his followers and rival jihadists, chiefly Al Qaeda sympathizers, who have celebrated the assassination on social media.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense claims Islamic State spokesman Mohammad al-Adani’s death with an airstrike in the Aleppo province of Syria, a claim disputed by U.S. officials.
