Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale has decided to keep his invested World Series bets a “deep secret” going into game 7 between his favored Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers.
Speaking with Action Network’s Darren Rovell on how much he has invested and how much he stands to win, Mack said he planned to keep it a “deep secret.”
“That’s a stark contrast to last year when Mack was outwardly boasting last season about his victory, winning briefcases filled with money — a comfy $75 million payday and a record for one wager in the legal sports betting market,” the New York Post noted.
“Mack had at least $43.4 million riding on the Astros to win the World Series on $6.9 million wagered throughout the legal market as of last week, with Caesars Sportsbook taking a significant portion of that action,” it added.
Darren Rovell reported that Mack upped his investment by $7.9 million, putting him on track to win $50.9 million on the Astros winning.
According to KBTX, the Houston Astros are favored to win Game 7.
“The Astros are favored in this one, at -130, while the underdog Rangers have +110 odds to play spoiler. The total is 9 runs for this contest,” it noted.
