After quarantining himself as a precaution, former NBA star Charles Barkley told fans on Monday that he has tested negative for the coronavirus.

“I’ve received my COVID-19 test results this morning & they are negative,” the TNT commentator said in a statement on Twitter.

“I’d like to thank everyone for reaching out and expressing your concern and support,” Barkley added. “You all be safe, and please take the necessary actions to help ensure your well-being.”

The announcement comes after Barkley told his NBA on TNT co-hosts that he was not feeling well during a March 12 broadcast. Barkeley told his co-workers that he intended to self-quarantine as a preventative measure.

At least 14 NBA players have tested positive for the coronavirus, after Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics announced that he had tested positive.

Several teams have reported having players with positive tests, including Brooklyn, Utah, Detroit, the Celtics, and the Lakers. Players such as Kevin Durant and Marcus Smart announced a positive result.
