U.S. Women’s soccer player Ali Krieger went on the attack against President Donald Trump after his criticism of team captain Meghan Rapinoe for her protests during the national anthem as the team plays the Women’s World Cup in France.

“In regards to the ‘President’s’ tweet today, I know women who you cannot control or grope anger you, but I stand by (Rapinoe) & will sit this one out as well,” Krieger wrote on Wednesday, USA Today reported.

“I don’t support this administration nor their fight against LGBTQ+ citizens, immigrants & our most vulnerable,” the defender added.

Krieger was replying to the president’s criticism earlier that day of Rapinoe’s anthem protests.

“Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear,” Trump tweeted along with his invitation to visit the White House offered to the U.S. team.

Rapinoe went on an expletive-laden rant against the President on Wednesday saying that she would not be going to “the f*ck*ng White House” if her team wins the World Cup.

“I’m not going to the f*ck*ng White House,” Rapinoe said. “No. I’m not going to the White House. We’re not going to be invited… I doubt it.”
