The fashion choices NBA players make always attract a lot of attention. That’s especially the case when the fashion choice in question involves promoting one of the most notorious protesters in the history of American sports.
Such was the case on Rodeo Drive when the NBA’s Karl-Anthony Towns wore his Colin Kaepernick jersey.
TMZ caught up with the Timberwolves star forward and asked him about his choice in attire.
“Kap’s the man,” Towns said.
The jersey Towns was wearing is not one from Kaepernick’s playing days. Instead, it’s the “ImWithKap” jersey that the former anthem protester sells on his website. Proceeds from the sale of those jerseys, at least in part, benefit Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp. That camp teaches young minority children about their rights when it comes to interactions with the police.
