Apparently having months to prepare and receiving millions of dollars in compensation, is not enough to motivation to come to football practice in shape.
At least it’s not for Michael Pierce of the Baltimore Ravens.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh kicked Pierce out of practice after the fourth year defensive lineman barely managed to make it through stretches.
“He’s not ready to practice from a safety standpoint and for his own health,” Harbaugh told ESPN. “We recognized that and pulled him off.”
“Pierce is coming off a strong 2018 season, and enters free agency after this season. That was not enough of a motivator to stay in shape, apparently. The defensive tackle is listed at 6-foot, 340 pounds,” the New York Post reports.
Pierce will not be able to practice with the Ravens again until he passes a physical.
