Fans in Chicago, Minnesota, and Detroit, got a special treat on Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones. Why, you ask? That’s because they got to see a dragon do what their defenses have mostly failed to do for over 10 years: Stop Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers appearance in the GOT episode titled, The Bells, did not last long before he was consumed in a storm of dragon fire.
“I was helping a woman, who was injured…then the hell with her I’m getting out of there,” Rodgers explained. I’m sure fans in Dallas were shocked, just shocked to learn that Rodgers would stoop so low as to abandon a helpless woman while a winged creature of mythology reigned fiery death upon King’s Landing.
It’s unknown if the dragon will be available in free agency this year. Rosters have largely been set heading as we build-up to training camp. Akiem Hicks did a great job holding down the middle for the Bears last year. A dragon coming off the edge would be a nice compliment. Of course, if Daenerys has to pilot the dragon, the Bears could get flagged for too many players on the field. A lot to ponder here.
We’ll keep you posted.
