PGA champion Pat Perez remembers being shocked at getting a phone call from President Trump while standing in line at In-N-Out Burger. Perez was also quick to say he would love to play golf with the commander in chief.
TMZ’s stringers recently caught up with the three-time PGA Tour winner to ask about his call from the president.
Perez said he was in line at the fast food joint when his phone rang.
As the golfer enthusiastically recounted, “So [Trump’s] assistant was like, ‘Mr. Perez, Donald Trump would like to speak to you. Are you available?’ And he’s like, ‘SH*T YES! I’m available!'”
Perez added that he would love to play golf with Trump. “I’d love to play with him. I’d love to get that chance,” he said.
Perez then went on to explain why he is a big Trump supporter: “The one thing you can’t argue with Donald Trump, he loves America. He loves America, and I love America … and he’s our President. I mean, what are you gonna do?”
