The kinder and gentler face of the modern NHL, took a backseat to the rough-and-tumble ways of old on Monday night. As players from two Original Six rivals — the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens — dropped the gloves and duked it out at TD Garden.
Kevan Miller of the Bruins and Nicolas Deslauriers of the Canadiens, engaged in a wild fight that went on for nearly a minute.
While the Bruins may have won the fight, they could not find a way to win the game. The Canadiens scored the game-winner 15 seconds into the overtime period.
