From the moment you pick it up to the second the last of its 16 rounds are fired the Springfield Armory XD(M) 10mm is a dream come true.
It is a polymer pistol designed to handle all the 10mm you can give it, without a single hiccup, misfire, or misfeed. And at 31.2 ounces, the XD(M) 10mm has the heft to handle force of the 10, making quick second shot acquisition a reality.
The XD(M) 10mm holds 15 rounds plus one in the chamber, for a total of 16. (It ships with two 15-round mags.) It has as fiber optic front sight that glows red as it picks up light and a fixed steel sight in the rear.
The 10mm was all the rage for during the 1980s and early ’90s then faded into the shadows until recent innovations in pistol and ammunition technology opened the door for an encore. The round has now re-emerged as a go-to for handgun hunting, self-defense, and target shooting.
Breitbart News shot 200 grain XTP Great Lakes ammunition through the XD(M) 10mm and enjoyed tremendous accurately, reliability, and fun.
We used the XD(M) 10mm for every day carry in Arizona, Texas, and on road trips throughout the country. We carried it in a Galco Gunleather concealable belt holster designed for HK/Springfield and it fit our XD(M) 10mm 4.5 perfectly.
The Galco holster held the XD(M) 10mm high and close to body, concealing the pistol yet keeping it in an accessible position in case it was needed in a pinch.
