Cameras caught a shouting match between Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston and center Ryan Jensen, on the sidelines during Sunday’s game.
The players got into an animated discussion during the second quarter after Jensen was called for unnecessary roughness and holding during the previous possession, Fox News reported.
Jenson later explained away the argument as just a “disagreement between brothers,” but he also admitted that he has not exactly helped his team of late.
“I’ve hurt this team a couple different times this year with stupid, selfish penalties and I’ve got to be more disciplined in that aspect,” Jensen told the Tampa Bay Times.
Still, Jensen noted that the argument was just a brief lapse in camaraderie.
“We’re fighting and competing our butts off and when that happens, guys get hot,” Jensen exclaimed. “Like I’ve said before, me and Jameis cleared the air right away. He went his way, I went my way. We came back and talked in like two seconds and everything was good.”
Emotions were high that day for the Bucs as they lost to the New Orleans Saints in front of a home crowd at Raymond James Stadium with a 28-14 final.
