Two years after being accused of sexual assault, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has finally settled with an Arizona Uber Driver.

The player was accused of groping a female Uber driver in Scottsdale, Arizona, in March of 2016 and it has been a long and twisting road to a solution.

The Heisman Trophy winner initially denied the accusations, but early in the next year, the NFL launched an investigation after which Winston issued an apology and was handed a three-game suspension under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

Despite the apology and suspension, the victim, known publicly as “Kate,” sued the 2015 No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick over the incident. The accuser filed a civil suit against Winston looking for more than $75,000 in damages.

But now, according to the Tampa Bay Times, Winston has “reached an agreement” over the lawsuit and finally put the messy incident behind him.

This is the second time Winston has settled a sex assault lawsuit. In 2016 he settled a suit with Florida resident Erica Kinsman who accused him of sexually assaulting her back in college in 2012.

Winston completed 29 of 38 passes for 312 yards with two touchdowns for the Buccaneers’ 27-9 win over the San Francisco 49ers during last Sunday’s Week 12 game.
