The CrossBreed SnapSlide outside-the-waistband holster is a simple, proven design that delivers comfort and concealability.
The SnapSlide consists of a piece of high quality leather with a Kydex mold affixed to hold your specific handgun firmly in place. The leather backing accomplishes two things: 1. It provides comfort by dissipating the weight and presence of the gun. 2. It is wide enough to allow the belt slots to be far enough apart the leather is stretched taunt, thereby preventing the holster from leaning out, away from the body, or bouncing around sloppily. In other words, the SnapSlide holds the gun firm against body.
Breitbart News has been carrying a Beretta APX Centurion in a SnapSlide as part of an extended review on that particular firearm. And one of the first notes on the holster is that holds the gun high, which allows T-shirt wearers (like me) to carry a firearm without fear that it will show below the shirt.
A gun carried in a SnapSlide snaps into place, so it is secure, yet it draws quickly, as the cant on the Kydex portion of the holster lends itself to the natural angle of the wrist as the hand comes back to retrieve the gun.
It should also be noted that for all kudos over the SnapSlide’s concealability, the holster is also perfect for open carry. Thus, for those accustomed to carrying a gun in plain sight the SnapSlide gives an extremely comfortable holster that lets you carry a gun openly as you go throughout your day. (Breitbart News has carried the Beretta APX Centurion concealed and openly with the SnapSlide.)
