A gate crasher for the Browns game at FirstEnergy Stadium, Thursday, turned out to be a frightened opossum found cowering in the stands.
But one brave fan nonchalantly cornered and captured the intruder and placed him in a waiting box for a stadium employee to cart away.
The video is hilarious as the fan in a Browns 99 jersey strolls down the stairs holding the squirming possum by the tail.
A security man offered a cardboard box, but the fan waved the employee away saying “I got this”!
The fan deftly opened the box, carefully placed the beast inside, and then folded the box top in to prevent escape.
Then he raised his arms in victory to the cheers of the whole stadium.
The possum’s predicament may have helped spur the team to its first win in 635 days, too, as the Browns came out on top of the New York Jets in a 21-17 final. Of course, the exciting debut of quarterback Baker Mayfield also helped.
Mayfield, who definitely wasn’t playing ‘possum, completed 17 of 23 passes for 201 yards.
