When Yeti Coolers cut ties with the NRA Foundation, Breitbart News decided to take a broad look at offerings in the cooler market. The simple aim was to find a quality cooler made by a company that was not ashamed of the Second Amendment.
We found the Orca Krypteck Highlander 40 cooler and, in so doing, discovered an incredible cooler made by a company that embraces gun rights without apology.
One only has to scroll their Instagram account to see their posts in support of the NRA, skeet shooting, hunting, concealed carry, and more.
But wait. What about the cooler?
Ah yes, the cooler is the best part because its ice retention is days. We are early in our review, so the longest we have gone is four or five days cold retention. The cooler has been in the Arizona and Nevada deserts in temps of 103, in the mountains (at cooler temps), and is currently sitting in West Texas where it still has the same ice we put it in 4 days ago.
The 40 is a medium sized cooler that is easy comfortable to lift, even when it is loaded with 30 cans of beverage, sandwiches, and waters.
The Krypteck Highlander 40 is impressive to say the least, and we have only just begun to put it through its paces. Orca’s commitment to the Second Amendment is simply icing on the cake.
