They call the NFL the “No Fun League.” However, Major League Baseball may soon give them a run for their money.

MLB immediately shut down the New York Yankees’ food service folks when the league saw they added images of several players floating on top of the foam of several cups of beer during the introduction of the team’s new menu items.

The team launched its new menu items on Monday, March 26, to great fanfare. Yet, along with the tasty new treats that will be available at the park’s concession stands this season, the food service folks indulged their artistic side by using a new machine that can whip images, logos, and photos; into the foam of the beer, according to Newsday.

The team also used its foam machine, made by a company called Beer Ripple, to make a Yankees logo in a cup of beer:

But soon after the menu reveals, the league quickly sent a cease letter to the team after images of players Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Gary Sanchez, and others were put into the foam of the cups of beer. The league reminded the Yankees that using images of players for advertising like that is not allowed.

The finger-wagging from the league may not have been necessary, though. According to the team, the images put into the beer foam was just for artistic flourish, and they have no intention of selling beer with such images in them.

“Our hospitality team took Monday’s event as an opportunity to test the image machine with various Yankees-related logos and photos,” a team spokesman said according to Sporting News. “However, the Yankees have no current plans of incorporating this decorative element on concessions items this season.”
