Tattoos are forever. Which makes getting tattoos which predict the outcome of future sporting events, a risky proposition.
However, the risk of being forever marked by an incorrect championship prediction, wasn’t enough to deter Patriots fan Eddy Ferrini from getting a tattoo — over a week before the game — of the Roman numerals “LII.” The LII, representing Ferrini’s prediction of Patriots victory in 2018’s Super Bowl LII, which the Patriots lost:
Ferrini told the Boston Globe, “I’ve wanted to get the Roman numerals of the Super Bowls for a long time now. And I think the Pats are a lock to win the game.”
However, despite his unfortunate prediction, Ferrini believes that fate and Roman numerals will come through for him in 2019. He says that when the Patriots win next year, he’ll just add an “I,” to his “LII.”
In fact, Ferrini already posted a preview of what his Super Bowl 53 tat might look like:
Ferrini is obviously skilled when it comes to adapting and overcoming. Though, he could run into trouble when it comes to his Super Bowl 54 prediction. That “LIV,” would be a lot harder to cover-up.
