The Daniel Defense V7 Tornado is an AR-15 with clean, tight lines, incredible accuracy, and a Cerakoted gray finish that reminds you of the thunderclouds rotating in a tornado.
It is a Daniel Defense design from start to finish, and that means it is #USA, #USA, #USA all the way through.
Because the V7 Tornado is a Daniel Defense rifle, all the all the gun’s furniture is made by Daniel Defense. Many AR-15 makers use their own lowers and uppers but add collapsible stocks, magazines, fore-grips, etc., made by other companies. Daniel Defense took a different route, making every aspect of their rifles in house. And this comes together in the V7 Tornado to give Americans a firearm that is extremely reliable, suited to long or short range shooting, as well as to close quarters home or self-defense situations.
Daniel Defense points out that the V7 Tornado has an “uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny” rail that runs above the barrel and a “handguard [that] offers incredible weight savings as well as superior cooling, ergonomics, and modularity while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Daniel Defense.”
In a word, this ain’t your grandpa’s AR-15.
The V7 Tornado ships with a 32-round magazine, which is another benefit of the fact Daniel Defense makes their AR furniture and accessories in house. (For those of you have have yet to buy an AR-15, a new rifle from other makers normally ships with a 30-round magazine. But a V7 Tornado comes with a Daniel Defense magazine that holds two extra rounds. And Daniel Defense promotes the magazines the way they promote their rifles: “Lighter, Stronger, Better.”)
Our V7 Tornado it outfitted with a TruGlo red/green dot sight and a Dakota Arms suppressor. When we take it to the range people comment on the gun; when they see it they know it is not a run-of-the-mill AR. It is a V7 Tornado.
