Michael Vick’s playing days are definitely behind him. His coaching days, however, have just begun.
The 13-year NFL veteran is spending the summer with the Kansas City Chiefs as a coaching intern. Vick’s former head coach, Andy Reid, is also the coach of the Chiefs.
Vick revealed an interest in coaching, specifically with Reid, during an appearance on the Howard Eskin Podcast. Vick said, “If I could coach with anybody, I would love to start out with Andy if there was an opportunity. Obviously, I would love it with the Falcons as well. So we’ll see how it goes.”
Vick was having an amazing career with the Atlanta Falcons before being sentenced to 23 months in prison for running an illegal dogfighting ring.
Vick rebounded nicely in 2010 with the Philadelphia Eagles and then-head coach Andy Reid. Vick won Comeback Player of the Year honors and made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time.
