Donald Trump, a long-time fan of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, hasn’t forgotten his friend as he prepares to become our next president. During a pre-inaugural speech, Trump gave Brady a shout out.
During a dinner with Republicans in Washington D.C., Trump gave a short address and in his remarks mentioned Patriots owner Robert Kraft and QB Brady.
“In the audience we have somebody that’s under no pressure whatsoever cause he’s got a great quarterback named Tom Brady,” Trump said, “and a great coach named Belichick: Bob Kraft. So good luck, Bob. Your friend Tom just called, he feels good. He called to congratulate us, he feels good. Good luck. You’re going to do great things.”
Of course Kraft and Brady both have been big fans of the 45th President long before he began his campaign for the White House.
Indeed, Kraft recently told The New York Times, “Loyalty is important to me, and he has been a wonderful friend.”
Kraft and Brady, along with head coach Bill Belichick, were also some of Trump’s biggest supporters. All three endorsed Trump early.
