Fans miss watching Tom Brady play this weekend. But the New England Patriots ensure that fans can’t miss Tom Brady when they enter Gillette Stadium.
The team, which features the quarterback as the picture on its Twitter handle, now pays tribute to Brady in a massive mural. The lighthouse on the Route 1-side of Gillette Stadium features an enormous picture of Tom Brady.
Bill Belichick characteristically did not want to talk about it.
“We’re really focused on Arizona right now,” Belichick told reporters on Tuesday. “That’s who we play this week. All the other decorative and marketing things and so forth are not really part of the team’s preparation.”
Brady watches fans enter the stadium. They watched him compete in the preseason with the NFL logo conspicuously missing from his helmet.
Brady serves his Deflategate suspension over the season’s first four games, three of which come at home. The Patriots open against the Arizona Cardinals, a hot Super Bowl pick in preseason pools, on Sunday Night Football. The four-time Super Bowl winner returns in October, with or without the league shield on his headgear, against the Cleveland Browns.
