The Los Angeles Lakers roll into Oakland on Tuesday night. But Kobe Bryant carries confidence despite the Worst in the West facing the NBA’s undefeateds.

“I’ve seen stranger things happen,” Bryant told the media after losing to the Portland Trailblazers. “We’ve been playing like s—. We might go up there and we might play like gangbusters up there. You never know. ”

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets on Sunday to improve to 15-0. Only the defunct Washington Capitals and the Houston Rockets went to 15-0 in an NBA season. The Warriors look to break the record at home, where they won 39 of 41 games last season, against one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Kobe scored 18 on 6-for-22 shooting against the Trailblazers. He shoots a dreadful .331 from the field this season as he tries to rebound from injuries and age. He may have lost a step and his shot but Kobe kept his confidence.

Lakers coach Byron Scott offered a different reaction to the suggestion of his team triumphing. He laughed out loud.

Bryant divulged, “They’re the best team I’ve seen in a while.”
