Miss America put herself in the “not sure” category before declaring Tom Brady “definitely cheated.” It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.

Country singer Brett Eldredge, who just released an album called Illinois, asked Miss Georgia at the pageant in New Jersey whether the California quarterback drafted out of Michigan playing an Indiana team in Massachusetts cheated.

That’s a really good question. I’m not sure. I think I’d have to be there, to see the ball, and, uh, feel it, make sure if it was deflated or not deflated. But, um, if there was question there? Then yes, I think he cheated. If there was any question to be had, I think that he definitely cheated and that he should have been suspended for that. That’s not fair.

Shortly after Miss Georgia answered the question last night she became Miss America.

After telling Elderedge “that’s a really good question,” Betty Cantrell told the Associated Press it wasn’t. “It was kind of a funky question to ask me if Tom Brady cheated,” the new Miss America said. “I’m not a football player and I really wasn’t there to feel that ball.”

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.
